Well folks, I'm in between a rock and a hard place. I enjoy my savage 1996 4600 miles(I'm the second owner: purchased with 1400 miles)it needs a few things for it to be just right: paint job and a gel pad at least. I've purchased the factory repair manual and have the bike running great after having the tank cleaned out with acid and then recoated. My dilema is I need more power, being; that I live in Miami and the highway survial speed is 65-70 mph(I've taken it up to 85 mph). I removed the spacer and did notice a difference. Now I'm thinking of buying the supertrapp exhaust and a windshield. Should I go ahead and add the items or will I never be content with the horse power? Your enlightend experience shall be greatly appreciated.
